In this session, participants will learn to use basic tools with Audacity to create, layer, and edit sound bytes. Create dynamic lessons by adding personalized sound effects as instructions, clues, or feedback for answers. Provide differentiated instructions or materials by recording instructions or question/answer choices for students who need it. Encourage student voice by engaging students through podcasting, story-telling, explaining their thinking, or asking questions for further investigation or inquiry. Exported sound clips may be used in a variety of other applications as wav files, mp3 files, and more!

This session will cover importing, recording, and basic editing of sound clips, including layering of multiple sound clips, creating specific examples of end products so participants leave with an understanding of the tool as well as a picture of the possibilities to enhance their students' learning.
